Breathable and cotton-lined for a gentle touch on your paintwork, these heavy-duty covers protect your hatchback from sun, rain, dust and dirt. Two sizes accommodate vehicles from 3.8 to 4.7 metres long, whether parked outdoors or stored in a garage.
The Dark Grey outer fabric is solution-dyed 300D Polyester Oxford, weighing 180 gsm and 250 gsm overall with the soft cotton lining. UV-resistant and water-resistant, it helps shield your vehicle from weather exposure, bird droppings and airborne pollutants. The breathable construction allows moisture and condensation to evaporate, reducing heat build-up beneath the cover.
Needle-punch stitching joins the fabric sections, while buckle clip belly straps and elastic hems beneath the front and rear bumpers help keep the cover securely in place. A storage bag and two-year manufacturer's warranty are included.
Which Size Hatchback Cover Do I Need?
Covers are sized by your vehicle's length, height and width.
There is no make-and-model index, so either check the manufacturer's dimensions for your vehicle's make, model and year, or measure your car yourself.
Measure length in a straight line from the front of the front bumper to the rear of the rear bumper, along the side of the vehicle and level with the ground.
Measure height from the roof to the bottom of the bodywork, excluding the gap to the ground, and width with the mirrors folded in. Don't measure over the bonnet or roof.

Choose the range that includes your vehicle's length, then check its height and width against the table.
| Fits vehicle length | Cover height | Cover width |
|---|---|---|
| 3.8–4.2 m | 1.2 m | 1.6 m |
| 4.3–4.7 m | 1.2 m | 1.7 m |
FAQ's
How do I choose the right size hatchback cover?
- Check your vehicle's length, height and width against our sizing table and measuring diagram.
- The two available sizes fit vehicle lengths of 3.8–4.2 m and 4.3–4.7 m, with cover widths of 1.6 m and 1.7 m respectively. Both are 1.2 m high.
Where can I find my vehicle's length, height and width?
- Dimensions are usually available in your owner's manual or on the manufacturer's website, but may vary by model year. Alternatively, measure your vehicle using our diagram: length in a straight line between the bumpers, height from the roof to the bottom of the bodywork, and width with the mirrors folded in.
What if my vehicle is close to the edge of a size range, or I'm unsure which size to choose?
- Email us at sales@coversystems.co.nz with your vehicle's make, model and year. We'll help you confirm the most suitable cover.
How is this cover different from a sedan or SUV cover?
- Hatchback covers fit vehicles from 3.8 to 4.7 m long, with a cover height of 1.2 m
- Sedan covers accommodate lengths up to 5.6 m, while SUV covers are taller, at 1.4–1.6 m, to suit higher rooflines.
- The fabric, cotton lining and securing features are common across the range. Choose by body shape first, then size.
Will the cover scratch my car's paintwork?
- The soft cotton lining provides a gentle surface against your vehicle's finish. Always fit the cover to a clean car, as trapped dirt or grit can cause scratching even with a soft lining.
Is this cover suitable for outdoor use in all weather?
- Yes. The UV-resistant, water-resistant fabric helps protect against sun, rain, dust, dirt and heat, while its breathable construction allows moisture and condensation to escape. It is water-resistant rather than waterproof, so some moisture may penetrate during heavy rain. The cover is also suitable for indoor storage.
